Essential oil infused soy candle used for aromatherapy

What Is Aromatherapy?

In its most basic form, aromatherapy is a holistic approach to treating illness using natural plant abstracts, also known as essential oils. The practice has been around for thousands of years, dating back to Ancient China, Ancient India, and Ancient Egypt when parts of aromatic plants were used to create salves, balms, and oils to treat physical and sometimes mental ailments. And if that sounds like the very beginning of modern-day medicine, well, it’s because it was. Even well into the 1800s we were still using medicine naturally derived from plants and other organic matter. As time went on and technology progressed, we have been able to replace our holistic remedies with more stable chemical alternatives, which have become the norm. But a lot of us still use organic, holistic medicine and aromatherapy in our everyday life.

Sunburn? Use some aloe vera gel to cool and soothe your burn. It also promotes faster healing and scar reduction.

Got a toothache? Grab some vanilla abstract and put two drops on the problem tooth until you can get to the dentist.

Got a headache? Rub some peppermint oil on your temples and take a deep breath. Feel better now?

Aromatherapy and its holistic roots never disappeared, they’ve just moved to the background. Sometimes it’s a little too far-fetched to be believed and sometimes it’s the old remedies your grandma learned from her mom. Either way, aromatherapy isn’t going anywhere any time soon and it has been proven to be great at relieving stress which is why Golden Child Candles uses essential oils in most of our wax melts and candles.

We use aromatherapy to create stress-reducing, relaxing, good-vibe-giving candles and wax melts. We want you to smell our candles and wax melts and feel safe, loved, and relaxed. Our world is stressful and constant stress can lead to dangerous health problems such as miscarriage,  heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and anxiety just to name a few.

Here at Golden Child Candles we just want to do our part in calming the world down while creating a fun, great-smelling, non-toxic product.
